A LOCATION CAN MAKE or break AN IMAGE!
Are LOCATIONS a big deal?
Aside from choosing your outfits, choosing your location is a huge part of what will determine the overall look and feel of your images. It's best to plan for the best time of day for the best light, where we will start shooting and possible travel time between locations. These are a few things to keep in mind when picking a location. It can be as much about the LIGHT than location.
Sometimes it's hard to understand: if you have the most BEAUTIFUL LOCATION, but it's high noon, it's actually NOT ideal. It would be better to be in a tiny grassy field on the side of the highway with BEAUTIFUL BACK-LIGHT. The light is what makes the biggest difference between a mediocre image compared to a STUNNING IMAGE! Trust me on this one!!
Think of an overall "FEEL" or "VIBE" you would like for your photoshoot, and let this help guide your location choices!
The location of your photoshoot matters, but sometimes it may not matter quite as much as you think.
Most of the images in your gallery will be close-up images, meaning you can't always see the entire background. What you CAN see are the colors, light and overall "feel" of the location. For example, if you want a GRAFFITI background we don't necessarily need an entire block, we could possibly just need a wall or two. If you want a "MOUNTAINY" VIBE, we don't need to go up in the mountains, we can pick a field close by with mountains back behind you. We can do some in GRASSY FIELDS, TREES, DOWNTOWN DENVER, ARCADES, in CREEKS... you get the IDEA! The point is: don't get caught-up and stressed over a specific location. Choose a "VIBE" that you want, and I can help you pick spots that will make that happen!

I have one request:
TRUST THE PROCESS!
Some of my most AMAZING IMAGES have been created in the most unlikely locations! I'm not kidding!!Ive asked seniors to crawl into random areas and sit in super uncomfortable positions to get the right angle for the most INCREDIBLE SHOT! They all got some of the BEST IMAGES that I've ever created because they TRUST ME . I may have ideas or location suggestions that sound crazy, but it's because I have decades of experience finding the lighting and composition that will create SENSATIONAL IMAGES. So, my biggest request is that you trust me and trust the process... even if it sounds crazy! You will be glad you did!!

The MELIORA COLLECTION
Most of the concept photoshoots are in this session. These photoshoots are similar to advertising, stock, and photojournalism for several reasons. The concept photoshoots involve a message or some type of vision you want to convey. Concept photoshoots involve new ideas or maybe a message you're trying to convey. A location or the use of specific propping can make a concept come to life. To start planning these you need an idea. It's easy enough to get online and start looking at websites, instagram or pretty much anywhere to find what interests you. You can sen me screenshots to help me understand the direction you would like to go. From there we can collaborate and start forming a plan! Some of these images are created during the retouching process that happens after the shoot.

SPORTS AND HOBBIES
One of the best ways is to customize your senior photography session is to add in some of your favorite things that you do every day! I've had seniors want to highlight the sports they play, their favorite foods, their love for reading, their car... I've done it ALL!
Athletics + Sports
If you play a sport that is a big part of your high school life, we need to showcase it! You can bring along your uniform and equipment (volleyball. lacrosse stick, etc.) for some really fun photos. We can also go on location to ice rinks, basketball courts, you name it! Consider adding in any medals, trophies or letters you have to highlight
Hobbies
I love finding creative ways to highlight YOU! If you paint, write, read or are a photographer yourself, we will find a way to show that off! I would love to have you bring along any things that make up YOU, something we can add to your images!
Cheer + Dance
Let me just start by saying these are BOTH also sports. but they deserve their own section! I was on drill team myself in high school (and college!), and it is so fun to capture these photos. Bring along your uniform + poms, or your leo and pointe shoes...we will get some STUNNING action shots for you, as well as the traditional posed images!
Favorite Things
Incorporating your favorite things into your pictures can be really creative, and also really fun! Are you someone who can't live without your daily fix of Starbucks coffee? Are you obsessed with Chick-Fil-A? Are you in love with your car or do you have a shopping addiction? We can brainstorm together to find some fun ways to highlight these things for your photoshoot!

PRINTING YOUR IMAGES
I absolutely believe in the printing your images and displaying them in your home. There is something so special about having a physical copy of your memories to cherish and pass down from generation to generation. You invested your time and energy into your senior session, so you should print the images and have a physical way to enjoy them and share them.
You can choose the images to print from your files. I offer prints through the professional print lab that I use. This is the ONLY printing option that I personally and professionally recommend in terms of quality and durability. If you print somewhere else, I can NOT guarantee that the quality of the images will look the same as they do online, or that the products and prints themselves will be durable.
My honest suggestion is this: if you want to print your images larger than a 4X6, ordering prints through my professional lab is the best way to go.
